We of course had to visit the Henry Ford museum since wewere in Detroit. It was prettyspectacular. They have a massive collectionof planes, trains and automobiles..lol. They also have furniture, art, life size generators. Not to mention amovie theater, cafeteria, gift shop A VILLAGE AND A HIGH SCHOOL!
The high school was really interesting. The Henry Ford Learning institute is rightthere in the museum. It’s a publicschool that accepts children by a raffle. It must be an amazing opportunity forthese kids. The school system in Detroitis not the best and can be difficultto get a decent education. For the kidswho get a chance to go to the Learning Institute it can really increase theirchances for college and future jobs.

According to The Henry Ford museum website the Greenfield Villageis like “Entering Greenfield Village is like stepping into an 80-acre timemachine. It takes you back to the sights, sounds and sensations of America’spast. There are 83 authentic, historic structures, from Noah Webster’s home, where he wrote the first American dictionary, to Thomas Edison’s Menlo Parklaboratory, to the courthouse where Abraham Lincoln practiced law. Thebuildings and the things to see are only the beginning. There’s the fun stuff, too. In Greenfield Village, you can ride in a genuine Model T or “pull” glasswith world-class artisans; you can watch 1867 baseball or ride a train with a19th-century steam engine. It’s a place where you can choose your lunch from a1850s menu or spend a quiet moment pondering the home and workshop where theWright brothers invented the airplane. Greenfield Village is a celebration ofpeople — people whose unbridled optimism came to define modern-day America.”
