Ann Arbor

We spent a few hours in Ann Arbor. It was so great! There was so much energy in the air! I'm sure it has something to do with all the young people there…. University of Michigan was right downtown.  I walked around in the small downtown area.  It is such a great city, cold but great!

Ben got a recommendation to eat at this resturant.....
It was amazing! We had the most romatic time. I ordered some Moscato (that's a type of wine) and the pickled tomatoes.....

It doesn't look like much but let me tell you...it was DELICIOUS! The white cream is whipped ricotta cheese and the plum colored cup is tapenade.  What is tapenade, you ask? Well it’s a chopped olive spread that has olives, olive oil, capers and fresh lemon juice.  The glass jar is the pickled tomatoes with vinegar, parsley and seasonings.  You take the ingredients and layer them on your French bread.....just scrumptious .
I am determined to duplicate this….I just need help from Pinterest and my Italian friend, Lydia!
